If you’re ready to cool down from a long week, Netflix has exactly what you’re looking for. The streaming platform’s collection of winter-related titles, from romance to sports, makes for a perfect winter of binge-watching some seasonal shows.
As a huge fan of winter sports and the Winter Olympics, I’ve been exploring more winter sports titles on Netflix lately. Here are some titles you should check out.
Finding Her Edge
Based on Jennifer Iacopelli’s young adult novel, Finding Her Edge is a new series that follows Adriana Russo, a driven ice dancer chasing a spot at the World Championships with her new partner, Brayden. When her family’s struggling ice rink may be subject to closure, the pair make a risky move, pretending to be a real-life couple to attract an important sponsorship deal.
Things get complicated as Adriana harbors unresolved feelings for her former skating partner and first love. Soon, she is forced to confront her love and ambition.

Spinning Out
Another winter sports series on Netflix that you should add to your watch list is Spinning Out. Kaya Scodelario (Skins) stars as Kat Baker, an incredibly talented figure skater whose Olympic dreams come crashing down after a serious injury.
The disciplined Kat gets a second chance at success when she’s paired with Justin, a gifted skater known for burning through his partners. As they compete in elite competitions, Kat tries to rebuild her career while hiding a secret that causes her struggles.
Miracle: The Boys of ’80
Love winter sports documentaries? Don’t skate away from this ice hockey documentary, which is steeped in nostalgia. Miracle: The Boys of ’80 offers a nostalgic, behind-the-scenes look at the underdog U.S. men’s hockey team that pulled off one of the greatest upsets in sports history at the 1980 Winter Olympics, emerging as heroes.
Told through interviews with the players themselves, the docufilm revisits how a group of young, relatively unknown athletes came together under coach Herb Brooks and shocked the world by defeating the seemingly unbeatable Soviet team.
Off Track

To explore a foreign-language title that focuses on winter sports, try Off Track. This Swedish dramedy tells the story of Lisa, a struggling single mother whose life feels stagnant. On impulse, with absolutely no preparation, she decides to take on the Vasaloppet, a brutal 90-kilometer cross-country ski race.
Her tightly wound brother Daniel helps her train for the journey while he focuses on endurance sports rather than his personal problems. Off Track also has a sequel (Off Track 2) that follows Lisa as she sets out on a grueling 200-mile cycling race around Lake Vättern.
Glitter & Gold: Ice Dancing
This winter sports docuseries is a staple for sports and figure skating lovers. Glitter & Gold: Ice Dancing is a behind-the-scenes style show that dives into the intense, competitive, and emotionally charged world of figure skating, one of the most demanding disciplines in the Olympic Games. It follows three elite pairs of athletes chasing gold on the sport’s biggest stage (the US, Canada, and France). The series captures the teams’ fast-paced training schedules, the sacrifices required to stay at the top, and the big stakes that come with the largest stage in the sport.
If you like this documentary, I also recommend Harley & Katya, a documentary that traces the shared careers of Australian figure skaters Harley Windsor and Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya.
