Ryobi tools are a popular option for DIYers and homeowners for several reasons. And while you probably have all sorts of Ryobi tools, one thing a lot of buyers forget about is lighting. If you’re looking to upgrade your garage for less, get these affordable Ryobi lights that outperform the rest.
Whether you’re battling a power outage, working in a dark corner of the attic, or trying to finish a DIY project as the sun goes down, capable cordless LED lights are just as important as power tools. Ryobi’s ONE+ lineup has several options that will run on the 18V or 40V battery pack you already own, and here’s which one I’d recommend.
Ryobi 18V Hybrid Magnetic Task Light
A magnetic base, USB-C charging, and more
Ryobi makes several lighting products, but my favorite are the ones in the Hybrid line, like this 18V Hybrid Magnetic Task Light, which is packed with features. For starters, this 1,500-lumen flashlight runs on an 18V ONE+ battery or an extension cord. That alone makes it super useful.
But that’s not all this light offers. Ryobi’s task light has a strong magnetic base and a hanging hook, making it easy to put anywhere for illumination. You’ll also enjoy the flexible head to direct light, along with a built-in USB-C charging port for charging phones and other accessories during a power outage. It’s basically a light and a power bank in one.
Your 6Ah battery will keep this thing going for around 48 hours, and I have one in my garage ready to go in case of an emergency.

Ryobi Hybrid Tri-Power Tripod Light
18V or cable-powered, and it works with more than just lights
If you’re looking for a Ryobi light that’s big enough for any job, yet versatile enough for camping and other situations, check out the Ryobi 18V Hybrid Tri-Power Tower Light.
Crazy name aside, this tower Light is basically a giant Ryobi tripod with folding legs and can extend to over 7 feet tall. On top, you’ll see a powerful 3,800 lumen light with adjustable panels. At the base, you can plug in an 18V ONE+ battery (or a 40V battery) to power your lighting, and it’ll also accept a regular 120V extension cord. That’s three different ways to keep the lights on and the project going.
The best part, though, is that you can remove the light from the top and mount a fan, a Ryobi BT speaker, and other various Ryobi products. It’s as versatile as it gets.

Those first few Ryobi lighting products were neat, but if you’re looking for something a bit simpler and more affordable, consider the compact LED Project Light. This is a small hybrid light that works with any 18V ONE+ battery or an extension cord, like many others, but it’s not as bulky.
Ryobi’s little Project Light is perfect for the garage or while working in tight spaces around the house. It’s small, foldable, and has a built-in hook for easy mounting for hands-free use. It only puts out 900 lumens, but battery life rocks, and it’s easy to use.

Another light from my own collection that you’ll absolutely love once you buy one is the Ryobi 18V Hybrid Work Light. It’s odd that all the names are so similar, but this is one of the best and brightest portable lights in the entire lineup.
Like most of the others on the list, this Hybrid light works with an 18V battery or an extension cord, pushes 3,000 lumens of brightness, and is completely adjustable to illuminate wherever you need light. There’s also a built-in wall-mounting hook, and it’s LINK storage-compatible, too, which is pretty nice. It’s a capable, well-rounded light.

Last but not least is the truly versatile Ryobi 18V Hybrid Cordless LED Panel Light. This light is customizable with 360-degree rotating side panels and 150-degree pivoting front panels for ultimate coverage.
Since it has “Hybrid” in the name, you should already know it’ll run on your 18V battery or an extension cord. For added versatility, this 3,000-lumen light is tripod-mountable, features built-in wall mounts, and is a solid option for a variety of applications.
