I consider myself a pro at packing for CES. My process is simple: spill everything onto a table and then remove as many non-essential items as possible. I’ll be walking a lot of miles in Las Vegas and I don’t wanna kill my back. So here’s my gear. In the center I’ve got a Gizmodo-issued M2 13-inch MacBook Air. (I miss the lighter 12-inch MacBook every time I travel.) Moving clockwise from the phones (Pixel 10 Pro XL and iPhone 17 Pro), there’s my trusty Fujifilm X100V and wide-lens converter, extra SD cards, a memory card reader with USB-C adapter, a microfiber cloth for wiping down gadgets before photographing them, sunglasses I got in Japan, a 10,000mAh CUKTECH Magnetic Battery that works with both phones, a Satechi 145W GaN USB-C charger for juicing up all my devices in my hotel room, an Anker Prime Charger (160W, 3 Ports, Smart Display).
Below that I’ve got a wallet case, Noshinku hand sanitizer (lemon-scented for extra freshness), an Apple Watch Series 9, AirPods Pro 3, hand cream (Vegas is dry AF!), Ocoopa electric hand warmers (for when I return home to cold NYC), chapstick (not from Supreme, I just cut a sticker and wrapped it), a menthol nasal inhaler (got this in Bangkok and it works wonders) for when I feel dizzy, eye drops for when my contacts start drying up, an emergency strand of floss (can’t go to meetings with food between my teeth), and cute Pokémon bandages from Tokyo.
Finally, some USB-C cables and MagSafe cable for the MacBook Air neatly wrapped up with Velcro ties, and Penco pouches (also from Japan) to organize almost everything shown. Then, everything goes into my The North Face Fusebox backpack.
My adorable cat Lemons, unfortunately, is not coming to CES 2026 with me haha! Maybe next year! —Raymond Wong
