The Razr series saw a recent revival over the past couple of years, but Motorola isn’t stopping at flip phones. The Moto Razr Fold is supposedly on its way, and recent leaks give us a clear look at how the company wants to approach the form factor. To add, Motorola is releasing a Moto Tag 2 and some sort of wearable camera pin.
Recent leaks posted by @evleaks on Twitter/X include several sets of official-looking photos, including some with the Motorola Razr Fold open in all its glory. From the looks of it, the phone will bear a resemblance to the Moto Edge series. The black variant appears to have a carbon-fiber backing, while the white model seems to be slightly less textured.
The camera setup is made of three lenses and what appears to be a flash LED. Overall, the body appears to be quite thin, although it’s difficult to gauge how it compares to devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 or the thicker Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
If Motorola is building the Razr Fold anything like the Razr Ultra 60, then the phone should be well-built. It still gives the appearance of a “first foldable,” with nothing particularly exciting about the design.
The only primary design choice that stands out is the inclusion of an extra action button on the left side. One could assume it’ll summon the same AI features that the action button on the Razr 60 Ultra did.
The Moto Tag 2 looks incredibly similar to the original Moto Tag, which makes sense considering one of the main selling points was its compatibility with existing Apple Airtag accessories. The new colors look like sage and burnt orange.
As for the last notable leak, Motorola appears to be working on a camera wearable. It can be worn in at least two ways, according to the images. That includes pinning it to clothing likely via a magnet, or wearing it with a necklace attachment.
As for what it does, there’s little information available. It would likely record video and audio, with the ability to transcribe to another device. It may offer translation and summarization using AI, but that’s just a guess. Either way, it looks cool and seems to be designed from a fashion standpoint to appeal to a separate niche of users.
Motorola has been teasing announcements for January 6, but it’s unknown if any or all of these devices will launch at that time.
