Huawei could be getting ready to refresh its Watch Fit lineup soon, with a new leak pointing to an April 2026 launch for the Watch Fit 5 series. The tipster behind the claim is FixedFocus, a Weibo-based source with a track record in Huawei leaks.
If the timing checks out, the Watch Fit 5 would arrive roughly about a year after the previous iteration. The Watch Fit 4 series debuted in May 2025, so an April window would represent only a slight shift in Huawei’s release cadence.
A third model joins the lineup
The bigger story here is what the Watch Fit 5 range is said to include. Huawei is, reportedly, planning three versions this time around, a standard model, a Pro and a new Ultra variant. That last one is worth paying attention to, because the Watch Fit line has only ever shipped with two tiers.
What the Ultra would actually bring to the table is not yet clear. No specific hardware details or feature differences have surfaced, but the name alone suggests Huawei is aiming higher than the Pro in at least some respects. Whether that means a more rugged build, expanded sports tracking, additional health sensors or something else entirely is still anyone’s guess.

What the current generation looks like
To put the Watch Fit 5 in context, it helps to know where things stand with the Fit 4 series. The standard Fit 4 and Fit 4 Pro launched with a shared 1.82-inch AMOLED display, dual-band GNSS and a barometer, features that were absent from the Fit 3. The Pro went further still, adding ECG, temperature sensing, the TruSense health platform, offline route navigation, dive tracking to 40 metres and a full golf mode with 15,000 course maps. All things considered, a nice step up from the previous generation.
If Huawei follows a similar upgrade path with the Fit 5 series, and adds a genuine Ultra tier on top, the range could end up covering considerably more ground than it does today.
More Huawei hardware reportedly on the way
The Watch Fit 5 is not said to be arriving alone. A broader Huawei product event is expected that could also include the Pura 90 smartphone series, AI smart glasses, the Watch Buds 2, HarmonyOS PCs and two new MatePad tablets. That would make for a fairly substantial launch window if even half of it materialises.
As always with leaks of this kind, treat the details with caution. None of this has been confirmed by Huawei, and specifics around the Watch Fit 5 are still thin on the ground. More information should emerge as any potential launch date gets closer. Last year we had some regulatory agency leaks, nothing yet has surfaced along these lines in 2026.
