Following availability on the Galaxy S26 last week, Gemini screen automation is now rolling out on the Pixel 10 series as part of the March 2026 Feature Drop.
Screen automation can book rides and order food or groceries in compatible apps, including Lyft, Uber, Uber Eats, GrubHub, DoorDash, and Starbucks. Example commands in the Gemini prompt box are:
- Book a ride to the airport
- Schedule a ride for tomorrow
- Reorder my last coffee
- Order pizza for delivery
- Add milk and eggs to my grocery cart
- Order groceries to my mom’s house
You can also be specific, like: “order a strawberry acai lemonade refresher and sausage, cheddar, & egg sandwich.” On the first launch, you have to agree to “Get tasks done with Gemini.” You’ll then see a “Working on this task” card and “Task in progress” system notification.
This lets you “View progress” and “Stop task.” The app opens in a secure virtual window on your Pixel, with cloud-based processing. Like other Gemini features, the following usage limits apply:
- Free: 5 requests/day
- AI Plus: 12 requests/day
- AI Pro: 20 requests/day
- AI Ultra: 120 requests/day
Gemini can ask you follow-ups about the desired store and drink size before having you make the actual purchase at the end.
Once rolled out to your device, Gemini app > Settings > Screen automation appears to confirm the necessary system permission. We’re seeing this rolled out on the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL running Android 16 QPR3 (March 2026) today in the US. The setting also appears on a Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which is not officially listed.
