Meta has launched its new Ray-Ban AI prescription glasses, designed to bring AI into the everyday lives of prescription lens wearers. The tech giant has loaded the eyewear with numerous AI-powered features. The glasses support nearly all prescriptions with adjustable temple tips and interchangeable nose pads.

Talking about the hardware and features, the Blayzer comes in a rectangular design, while the Scriber features a rounded frame. Both models include adjustable components to improve comfort and support a wide range of prescription lenses.
The new glasses are powered by Meta AI. It introduces features that extend beyond basic notifications and usage. Users can track nutrition through voice commands or images, allowing the system to analyze meals and provide dietary insights. Further, the glasses support summaries from WhatsApp. This enables users to catch up on conversations through simple voice prompts. Meta confirms that these summaries are processed on-device with encryption.

Talking about the additional features, the glasses support silent messaging through gesture-based input, navigation support, and media recording. Moreover, the features are designed to position the eyewear as a wearable assistant that reduces reliance on smartphones.

As for the retail availability of the device, it is set to begin on April 14 in the United States and select international markets.
