This viral Verizon deal supposedly gets you a free Samsung phone, tablet, AND smartwatch — but how exactly does it work?

I spend a lot of time covering Verizon deals, but I’ll be the first to admit that many of the carrier’s best offers come with too much fine print attached. This is especially true when Verizon starts advertising those ‘free device’ deals that it loves so much. Sure, this new promotion from the Big Three provider could get you a free Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy Watch 8, and Galaxy Tab S10 FE, but there must be a catch, right? Let’s break it all down.

If you don’t mind some gross oversimplification, the deal essentially works like this: pay for the service, get the free devices. What you need to do is head to Verizon and grab the Samsung Galaxy S26 with a new line on the Unlimited Welcome, Unlimited Plus, or Unlimited Ultimate plan, and the carrier will hook you up with enough promo credits to cover the full cost of the device. Free phone, check. 

Once that’s done, you’ll be eligible for a free Galaxy Watch 8 AND Galaxy Tab S10 FE tablet when you add respective service lines for each device. All things said and done, you’re paying for the Verizon plans but the Samsung devices themselves are totally free. If you need a little extra incentive, it’s worth mentioning that Verizon will also throw in a free $100 e-gift card, just for kicks.
