The Google Home Speaker was first teased at Made by Google 2025 last August with more details coming in October. Following the Pixel 10a and Fitbit Air, Google’s new Gemini speaker might launch on June 25.
This release date for the Google Home Speaker comes from Best Buy Canada’s product page. June 25, 2026 does not appear on the American site, while the Google Store has yet to see any updates.
With spring ending on June 21, Google is missing the deadline by just a few days.
At this point, the actual hardware should be fully complete. Rather, the software is presumably the sticking point, with Gemini for Home still part of the Early Access program.
Since March, Google has been updating the preview experience available on existing speakers and displays three to four times per month.
The Google Home Speaker will be $99.99, and available in four colors: Berry (pink/red), Hazel (black/gray), Jade (light green), and Porcelain (beige/white). The 360-degree design sees fabric covering everything but the base, which houses a ring of status lights and microphone mute switch.Â
You’ll finally be able to pair two Speakers with the Google TV Streamer for a home theater system. There’s also stereo pairing and grouping with existing Nest speakers for multi-room audio.Â
Google’s first speaker since 2020 will be available in 19 countries: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
