Firmware version 4.3.8.2 is rolling out to the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro, adding support for voice memo recording during workouts, Equivalent Pace metrics for runners, and expanded cycling sensor compatibility. The update weighs in at 14.86MB and includes further tweaks to Zepp Coach, altitude tracking and lap displays.
Voice memos and pace metrics lead the way
Two additions stand out right away. First is the arrival of Equivalent Pace and Average Equivalent Pace as selectable data fields during outdoor and trail runs. These are designed to help runners better compare effort across changing terrain.
The second is the ability to record voice memos during workouts by long-pressing the Down button. The audio is saved and can be replayed later through the Zepp Health app. It’s a hands-free way to log mid-session thoughts, which could be useful for structured sessions, feedback loops or just quick notes.
The voice memos appear at the bottom of the workout entry once the session is finished. They are transcribed in the Zepp Health app and can eve n automatically extract contextual details such as the exercise type, reps and weights.
What’s worth noting is that the voice feature is only available in regions where Zepp Flow is supported. And it won’t work in underwater or fishing modes.
Other changes
This is not where the updates end.
The T-Rex 3 Pro now supports external speed sensors, cadence sensors and power meters during indoor rides. That’s paired with the option to manually input the workout distance afterward.
For outdoor cyclists, route planning just got a small lift. The maximum distance supported for custom routes in the Map app has been extended to 100km.
Zepp Coach continues to evolve. The update makes it easier to modify your training plan by skipping or rescheduling the remaining workouts in the current week. It adds a level of flexibility that’s been missing from the auto-generated schedules.
The HYROX Race workout has been refined too. The Zepp Health app now shows specific HYROX Zone timing data in the workout timeline, which should appeal to athletes training for this increasingly popular hybrid fitness competition.
A busy few weeks
CES 2026 might be grabbing all the headlines, but Zepp Health hasn’t taken its foot off the gas when it comes to firmware updates. This is one of several rollouts we’ve seen recently across the company’s lineup. The last T-Rex 3 Pro update landed back in early November, so this latest release comes right on schedule.
Over in Las Vegas, Zepp Health is showcasing its new Active Max smartwatch, along with two concept products: the Helio smart glasses and the food-tracking V1Tal. Both of these are expected to be made available for purchase later in 2026.
