Her father, Saandeep Patel, works as a director and her mother, Aarti Patel, is a filmmaker. She also has a sister, Sanjanaa Patel, who is a music composer and producer.
Aarohi completed a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Accountancy from H. L. College of Commerce and later earned a master’s degree in Development Communication from Gujarat University. While still an undergraduate she gained media experience through internships: she worked at radio station 94.3 My FM in Ahmedabad from April 2012 to January 2014 and completed a short internship at TV9 Gujarati from April to June 2014.

Patel began appearing on screen as a child artist. Early credits include the 1999 film Moti Na Chowk Re Sapna Ma Ditha, in which she played Pooja, and television work such as Sati Savitri (2001) where she portrayed the young Savitri.
