Aarohi Patel was born on 15 November 1994 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and grew up in a family connected to filmmaking. Her father, Saandeep Patel, works as a director and her mother, Aarti Patel, is a filmmaker. She also has a sister, Sanjanaa Patel, who is a music composer and producer.

Aarohi completed a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Accountancy from H. L. College of Commerce and later earned a master’s degree in Development Communication from Gujarat University. While still an undergraduate she gained media experience through internships: she worked at radio station 94.3 My FM in Ahmedabad from April 2012 to January 2014 and completed a short internship at TV9 Gujarati from April to June 2014.
