Early life and background
Adhyayan Shekhar Suman was born on 13 January 1988 in Mumbai and raised there. The son of actor and television personality Shekhar Suman and film producer Alka Suman, he spent his school years between Utpal Shanghvi School in Mumbai and Millfield Public School in London. He later attended the New York Film Academy, where he completed a diploma in direction. Growing up, he struggled with his weight and over time transformed his physique, reducing his weight significantly before beginning his acting career.

Career
Adhyayan Suman made his film debut in 2008 with Haal-e-dil, playing the character Rohit. Early on he worked behind the scenes as a casting assistant on a Hindi short film and assisted director Prakash Jha after finishing his direction diploma. He appeared in the 2009 film Raaz – The Mystery Continues and went on to act in a string of Hindi features including Dehraadun Diary (2013), Heartless (2014), Ishq Click (2016), Bekhudi (2021), and Chup: Revenge of the Artist (2022).

Beyond feature films, Adhyayan moved into digital projects and found recognition for his role as Tinka Singh in MX Player’s web series Aashram (2020).
