Aditi Govitrikar was born on 21 May 1974 in Panvel, Bombay (now Mumbai), and grew up in a family with roots in Pune. She attended Barns High School in Panvel and later trained in medicine at Grant Medical College, Mumbai, where she earned her MBBS. Over the years she expanded her academic credentials with postgraduate study in counselling and psychology from Indian institutions and undertook courses at Harvard University Extension School.
