Aditya Narayan Jha was born on 6 August 1987 in Mumbai, India. He comes from a musical household: both his parents and grandparents were singers. His father is the playback singer Udit Narayan and his mother Deepa Narayan also performed. The family traces roots to Baisi, Supaul, Bihar, which is cited as his hometown.

Aditya attended Utpal Shanghvi School in Mumbai and went on to study commerce at Mithibai College of Commerce. He further pursued musical training with a diploma in English contemporary music from Tech Music Schools in London.
