Early life and backgroundAdline Mewis Quadros Castelino was born on 24 July 1998 in Kuwait City, Kuwait. She spent her childhood in Kuwait and attended Indian Central School there until the age of 15. After moving to India, she continued her schooling at St. Xavier’s High School in Mumbai and went on to graduate from Wilson College with a degree in Business Administration.
She comes from a family with roots in Udyavara, Udupi, Karnataka. Her father is Alphonse Castelino and her mother is Meera Castelino. Adline has two sisters, an elder sister named Anicia and a younger sister named Andrea.
Career
Adline began working professionally as a model while also taking on roles in marketing early in her career. After finishing her degree she worked as a marketing intern for the messaging app Flochat and trained in pageant preparation at the Cocoaberry Training Academy in Mumbai.
Her pageant career includes regional and national successes. In 2018 she won Miss TGPC Season 4. She earned the Miss Cocoaberry Diva title in 2019 and went on to compete at Miss Diva 2020. At the Miss Diva event she was shortlisted through city and national rounds, won a Miss Smasher award for badminton during the contest, and ultimately claimed the LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2020 crown at the finale held at Yash Raj Studio in Mumbai on 22 February 2020.
