Early life and background

Adrija Sinha was born on 23 March 2007 in Maharashtra and raised there. She grew up in a family that includes her parents, Subhra Sinha and Aditi Sinha, and a brother, Moitrish Sinha, who serves in the Navy. Adrija attended Takshila School in Ahmednagar and later Billabong High International School in Malad, Mumbai. She has practised dance from a young age, taking formal lessons beginning around age seven.

Career

Adrija built her early public profile through dance reality television. At age 10 she competed on Super Dancer Season 2, and she later appeared as a contestant on Dance India Dance (season 7). In 2023 she also participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 11. Her background in hip-hop and stage experience translated into screen work in music videos, commercials, web series and films.

Her on-screen acting debut in a mainstream web series came in 2020 with Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors on Disney+ Hotstar, in which she played the character Rhea Chandra. She followed that with roles in several Hindi-language films and series. In 2021 she appeared in the biopic Saina and had a role in the action film Sanak, which streamed on Disney+ Hotstar where she was credited as Aanya Bhargav.

From 2023 onward Adrija expanded her portfolio with multiple projects across streaming platforms. She appeared in Mujib: The Making of a Nation (a Bengali film) and took roles in Netflix titles including Guns & Gulaabs and the four-episode mini series The Railway Men, the latter being based on the 1984 Bhopal Gas Tragedy. On Disney+ Hotstar she played Pritika in the Hindi series School of Lies. In cinema she portrayed Nu Singh in the Manoj Bajpayee–led Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai (streamed on ZEE5) and played Aahna in the film Kill alongside Laksh Lalwani.

In addition to acting, Adrija has released dance content on her self-titled YouTube channel, which she created in January 2020. She has also appeared in music videos such as the December 2020 song Tu Phir Se Aana and has been featured in television commercials for brands including Dell, Real Frappe Milkshake, Pepperfry, Cadbury Bournvita and Maggie.
