Adrit Roy was born on 25 May 1992 in Kolkata, India. Raised in a Bengali family, he spent his childhood close to his grandfather, whom he affectionately called dadai. His mother is a teacher. Roy attended La Martiniere Calcutta school, where he was active in cultural activities and discovered an early interest in music and performance.

He developed his musical skills young, entering a recording studio as early as sixth grade and later working as a backing vocalist in Mumbai. That musical phase also included live performances with a band called PosterBoyzz.
