Early life and background
Ahammed Fazle Rabbi, who works under the stage name Afran Nisho, was born on 8 December 1980 in Bhuapur, Tangail, Bangladesh. He grew up in Tangail and later attended Dhanmondi Government Boys' High School in Dhaka. He continued his studies at Dhaka College and East West University, from which he graduated. His family includes his mother Anjuman Ara and his father, Abdul Hamid (often referred to as Afran Nishor Baba), who served on the Tangail District Council and as general secretary of Bhunapur Upazila Awami League and was a freedom fighter. His father died in 2020.

Career
Nisho began his career in the entertainment industry as a model, appearing in television commercials starting around 2003. He moved into acting and has been active in television, film and web productions since the mid-2000s.

His television debut came in the series Ghor Chara in 2006. Over the years he has been featured in numerous TV dramas and serials, including Rumali (2011), Joker (2013), Truth and Dare (2015), Ex-Girlfriend (2019), and others. He has also taken part in TV series such as Idiot (2019) and House No 96 (2021).

Nisho expanded into web-series work as well. He played Rasel in the web production Beauty and The Bullet (2019) which aired on Bioscope, and appeared in later web projects including Morichika (2021), Syndicate (2022), and Sharey Showlo (2023).

In cinema, Nisho made his film debut in Surongo (2023), in which he played the role of Masud. His film credits also include titles such as Mainkar Chipay (2020) and Shon Shon (2022), among others.

Recognition
Across television and digital platforms Nisho has received industry recognition. He won the Meril Prothom Alo critics' choice Best TV Actor Award for his performance in the TV show Jog Biyog (2016). In 2021 he was awarded Best Actor in a Negative Role (popular category) at the Blender's Choice–The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards. He also received the Meril Prothom Alo Award for Best TV Actor for his role in Punorjonmo (2021).
