Aindrila Sharma was born on 5 February 1997 in Kolkata, West Bengal. She grew up in the city where she attended Mahrani Kashishari Girls High School and later completed her graduation at Victoria Institution (College), Kolkata. Her family included her father, Uttam Sharma, who worked as a doctor, her mother Shikha Sharma, and a sister, Aishwarya Sharma, who is also in the medical field.

From a young age she enjoyed reading novels, dancing and watching films. She has said that geography was one of her favourite subjects at school. Aindrila also enjoyed spending time with animals and kept two pet dogs, Bozo and Tuntun.

Career

Aindrila began her acting career in Bengali television. Her on-screen debut came in 2017 with the Colors Bangla serial Jhumur. She went on to appear in a string of Bengali TV shows including Jibon Jyoti and Jiyon Kathi, the latter bringing her wider recognition for her portrayal of Jahnabi Chatterjee (Tuli). In 2021 she featured in the series Ami Didi No. 1.

Alongside television work, she pursued modelling and appeared on ramps for fashion designers. She also worked as a content creator and was active on social media, where she shared personal moments, her pets, and lifestyle posts. In 2021 she appeared on the cover of the Bengali magazine Aparajita.

Aindrila also took part in music video work, appearing in a video titled Tui Chhara Nei Kichhui. Her screen presence and public visibility led to industry recognition; in 2022 she received a Tele Academy award and was nominated for the Bengali Leadership award.

Later that year she experienced severe medical complications: on 1 November 2022 she suffered a brain stroke and was hospitalized. Reports indicate she suffered multiple heart attacks on 15 November 2022 and was placed on ventilator support after undergoing CPR. A CT scan on 17 November showed blood clots in her brain.
