Aishwarya Sushmita was born on 12 July 1994 and raised in Darbhanga, Bihar. She completed her schooling through class 10 in Bihar before moving to Banasthali Vidyapith in Rajasthan for classes 11 and 12. She then attended Indraprastha College for Women at Delhi University and went on to earn a postgraduate degree in philosophy. As a teenager she played badminton at the national level and later described herself as something of a tomboy in her youth.

Career
Sushmita’s entry into the public eye came through modelling and pageantry. While studying in college she participated in Campus Princess, progressing from her college-level selection to the Delhi rounds and later reaching the top six in the Mumbai finals. She also contested Miss North India, where she was crowned Miss Congeniality.

Her modelling career developed after joining a Delhi-based modelling agency and appearing in print work. In 2016 she competed in and won NDTV Good Times Kingfisher Supermodels 3, a reality modelling contest that led to her being shortlisted for a Kingfisher Calendar shoot.
