Early life and background

Akangsha Rawat was born on 14 September in Pauri, Garhwal, Uttarakhand, and grew up in Delhi after her family moved there soon after her birth. Her father worked in the hotel industry. She attended St. Cecilia’s Public School in Delhi and later studied at the University of Delhi. She completed postgraduate studies in advertising and marketing at Xavier’s Institute of Communications in Mumbai and also attended IGNOU. She follows Hinduism and maintains a vegetarian diet.

Career

Rawat began her professional life working in event management before moving into modelling and acting. Her screen debut came in Telugu cinema with the film Tholi Choopulone (2003). She made her first appearance on Hindi television in Solhah Singaarr (2006) on Sahara One, playing the character Meera.

Over the years she has built a steady television career, appearing in shows such as Palampur Express (2009). More recently she has been part of mythological and devotional series including RadhaKrishn (2018–2023), Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyaag Taandav (2023–2024), and Lakshmi Narayan – Sukh Samarthya Santulan (2024).
