Akash Thapa was born on 14 August 2004 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Raised in the city he calls home, he attended Police Modern School in Dehradun. He grew up in a family headed by his parents Pradeep and Meena Thapa and has two sisters, Varsha Thapa and Megha Thapa.

From a young age Akash showed a strong interest in dance, copying steps he saw on television and following the work of choreographers who inspired him. His early passion for movement and performance helped shape the path he would follow into competitive dance and entertainment.

Akash’s first major public appearance came in 2017 when he took part in Super Dancer Season 2, a children’s dance reality show on Sony Entertainment Television.
