Early life and background

Akshay Bindra was born on 16 December 1987 in Delhi and grew up there. He attended St. Columbus School in Delhi from 1990 until 2006 and completed a college graduation. As a child and teenager he took part in swimming and athletics competitions. His family includes his father Mohit Bindra, who owns restaurants in Delhi, his mother Sujata Bindra, and an elder sister, Neha Brar.

Career

Bindra began his working life in the food business, helping in his father’s restaurants and later running a catering venture where he worked as a chef. In 2016 he relocated from Delhi to Mumbai to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

He made his television debut with a supporting role in the fifth season of the popular supernatural series Naagin, which aired on Colors. Since then Bindra has appeared in multiple television and streaming projects. He featured in the 2021 Colors serial Kuch Toh Hai: Naagin Ek Naye Rang Mein and has credits in Hindi web series including Hiccups and Hookups (Lionstage Play Originals, 2021), Netflix’s Decoupled (2021), and Amazon Prime Video’s Four More Shots Please (2022).

Bindra’s screen work also includes short films and music videos. His short-film credits include A Life Together (2020) and Long Drive (2023). He appeared in the 2021 music video “Udaan” by The Yellow Diary. In 2023 he played Lieutenant Shamsher Bajwa in the Hindi film Rakshak India’s Braves.
