Akshit Kuldeep Dhull was born on 15 September 2003 in the village of Banwasa in Sonipat district, Haryana. Raised in a region with a strong kabaddi culture, he developed an interest in the sport early and joined a local kabaddi academy in his village. He has said that players from his district encouraged him to pursue the game, and he cites Ashish Narwala and Vinod as players he looks up to.
