Early life and background

Ali Sikander was born in Lahore, Pakistan, on 17 April. He comes from a family with deep roots in the Pakistani entertainment industry: his father was actor Agha Sikander and his mother is Rubina Sikander. His late grandfather Agha Saleem Raza and other relatives, including maternal grandfather Inayat Hussain Bhatti and maternal granduncle Kaifee, also worked in film and music. His extended family includes actors and industry professionals such as Waseem Abbas and Ali Abbas. Ali’s younger brother is actor Aagha Ali, and his sister-in-law is actress Hina Altaf.

In 2016 he was a participant on Mehmaan Nawaaz, and in 2017 he both directed and wrote for the comedy series Fat Family, in which he also appeared. Ali made his feature-film debut in the 2022 Lollywood production Tich Button, appearing as a friend of the character Kakka. That same year he played the role of Sikander in the Pakistani film Yaara Vey, sharing the screen with Sami Khan. He has also appeared in television commercials for brands including Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise, Gibs Pasta and EECO Plus.

As a writer, Ali contributed to television series such as College Gate (2023) and Honey Moon (2023), both of which aired on Green Entertainment. He has directed smaller-format projects as well, including the 2023 music video for the song Tu Mila, which was performed by his brother Aagha Ali.
