Early life and background

Alice Rose Capsey was born on 11 August 2004 in Redhill, Surrey, England. She grew up in a family that ran a dairy farm in Dorking and began playing cricket at a young age alongside her brothers at Capel Cricket Club. Her early education included time at Belmont School in Dorking, Lancing College in East Sussex and Bede's Senior School in Eastbourne. She progressed quickly through county age-group cricket, taking part in Surrey trials as a child and representing Surrey at multiple youth levels.

Career

Capsey is an all-round cricketer who bats right-handed and bowls right-arm off-break. She advanced through Surrey’s youth pathway, appearing for Surrey Under-11, Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 teams, and made her County Championship debut as a 14-year-old, where she claimed a three-wicket haul in her first match. She continued to represent Surrey in domestic competitions and also played locally for Reigate Priory.

She featured for South East Stars in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and Charlotte Edwards Cup.
