Alireza Mirzaeian was born on 14 November 2004 in Sabzevar, Iran, and grew up in Gorgan. He developed an interest in kabaddi at a very young age and began training when he was around nine years old. Despite initial resistance from some family members to his choice of sport, his mother and sister were early supporters of his ambitions.

Career

Mirzaeian has established himself as a raider. He attended Islamic Azad University, Gorgan Branch, while pursuing his sporting career. Over the course of 2023 he featured prominently for Iran in multiple tournaments. He played in the second edition of the World Junior Kabaddi Championship held in Iran, where his team finished as runners-up. Later that year he was part of the Iran squad at the 11th Asian Kabaddi Championship in Busan, Republic of Korea, which secured the silver medal.

Also in 2023 Mirzaeian was a member of the Iran team that won the silver medal at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. At the domestic franchise level he was picked up in the 2023 auction for the 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League by U Mumba. He joined the Maharashtrian side as a raider and was acquired for 16 lakh rupees.
