Early life and background

Amardeep Chowdary was born on 8 November 1990 in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh. He completed a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and later earned a Master of Science. His family has performing arts connections: his father, Ameer Basha, is a trained Kuchipudi dancer and a retired RTC employee, while his mother, Rupa Gonuguntla, is a politician and trained dancer. He also has a sister, Nehal Gangavath, who works as an actress and dancer.

Career

Chowdary began his on-screen journey with the short film Parinayam in 2016. After that early project he spent some time working at a software company in 2017 before returning to Hyderabad to pursue acting full time. He has appeared in a range of short films, including Pizza vs. Gongura, Girl Friend Oorelithe, Super Machi, Raju Gari Kidnap (short-film version), Mangamma Gari Manavadu, Girlfriend and Double Date, among others.

Alongside short films, he has had roles in feature films such as Krishnarjuna Yudham (2018), Shailaja Reddy Alludu (2018), Ayushman Bhava (2019) and Raju Gari Kidnap (2020). His performance in Raju Gari Kidnap (2020) as the character Kalki earned positive attention. Later film appearances include Iravatham (2022), Premadesam (2023) and Abhilasha (2023).

On television, Chowdary moved into serial work with Uyyala Jampala in 2017, playing Rahul on Star Maa. He went on to play the lead role of Ashwin in the TV series Siri Siri Muvvalu in 2019, which was broadcast on Star Maa. His television credits also include appearances in shows such as Attarintiki Daredi and Hitler Gari Pellam.
