Ami Denborg was born in 1977 in Mariestad, Sweden. She grew up in Mariestad and attended Vadsbogymnasiet there before studying electrical engineering at Kungliga tekniska högskolan. Her parents are Vinod and Nilam Hindocha, and she has two siblings: a brother, Anish Hindocha, and her late sister, Anni Dewani.

Career

Denborg trained as an electrical engineer and began her professional career around 2000. Her early role was as a test engineer at Telia Sonera. Over the following years she moved into positions with increasing responsibility in systems integration and testing, including work as a manager in onboard system integration and a long tenure with Bombardier Transportation.

In February 2018 she joined ASSA ABLOY Group as a Product Innovation Manager in Quality Assurance. By 2021 she was serving as R&D Director of Hospitality at ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions, a role that reflects her progression into research and development leadership within the company.
