His father’s name is Baljinder Singh, and he has one sister. Mehron’s personal profile lists him as a vegetarian.

Career

Mehron is described in the source as a politician. In the early part of his life he ran a cement dealership in Dalla village, and he spent time in Malaysia in the early 2010s, where the account says he experienced an exploitative situation that led him to take shelter in a gurudwara. On returning to India he adopted a more religious lifestyle and became a Nihang, a member of a Sikh warrior tradition.

He later organized a group called Quam De Rakhe and took up various social causes. Reports associate him with activities aimed at helping disadvantaged people and campaigning for the safety of women, particularly victims of sexual violence. In electoral politics, Mehron contested the 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly election from the Tarn Taran seat as a candidate of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar).

Public profile

Mehron’s public life has involved several high-profile confrontations and legal incidents. In December 2020, police registered a criminal case after he damaged statues of folk singers at Heritage Street near the Golden Temple in Amritsar. Another case was reportedly filed in 2021 following threats he made toward a producer accused of producing vulgar songs.

His profile drew wider media attention in mid-2025 following the killing of social media influencer Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, also known as Kanchan Tiwari. According to the information provided, Mehron admitted to the killing in June 2025. Police accounts state that Mehron traveled from Moga to Ludhiana with accomplices Jaspreet Singh and Nimratjeet Singh, and that the group persuaded the victim to travel with them to Bathinda under the pretext of car-related work. The reporting describes that the group stayed with the victim while her car was being repaired and that around 2 am on 10 June 2025 the victim was strangled, allegedly with the involvement of Mehron and the named accomplices. The victim’s body was found near Adesh University in Bathinda on the night of 11 June 2025.

Law enforcement actions tied to the case included the issuance of a look-out circular for Mehron on 14 June 2025 and a claim by Punjab Police on 16 June 2025 that he had departed for the United Arab Emirates on 10 June, leaving from Amritsar International Airport on a flight that reportedly departed at 9:15 am. Investigations mentioned in the excerpt indicate that the police also identified others who may have had prior knowledge of the killing, and that a visceral sample from the victim was sent for testing to check for harassment or an attempted sexual assault.

The killing prompted public reaction; for example, Indian singer Mika Singh criticized Mehron and the others involved, calling the act shameful.
