Early life and background

Amruta R. Pawar was born on 15 December 1988 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, where she was raised and continues to be based. She attended Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Marathi Medium Secondary School and later studied at R. A. Poddar College of Commerce & Economics. From a young age she took part in college events, including dance and debate competitions.

Career

Pawar began working professionally as an actress and model. Her first television appearance came in 2018 on the Star Pravah Marathi series Duheri, in which she played the character Neha. That same year she appeared on Star Pravah again in Lalit 205 as Bhairavi.

In 2019 she made her film debut with Senior Citizen and also took on prominent television roles. She portrayed Jijamata, the mother of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, in a Sony Marathi television production. In 2021 she played the lead role of Aditi Milind Karmarkar on the Zee Marathi show Tujhya Majhya Sansarala Ani Kaay Hawa.

Following those lead parts, Pawar continued to appear in several Marathi series, including Vithu Maauli and Jigarbaaz. Her work in the industry has also been recognized with honours such as the Mata Sanman award in 2021.

Amruta Pawar is the daughter of Rambhau Pawar and Reshma Pawar and has two siblings: a brother, Shardul Pawar, and a sister, Rupali Pawar. She married Neel Patil, a biomedical engineer, on 7 July 2022. The couple met through a matrimonial site, spent about six months getting to know one another, and have described their union as an arranged marriage rather than a love marriage.
