Early life and background
Anand Pandit was born on 21 December 1963 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He grew up in the city and attended Sheth Chimanlal Nagindas Vidyalaya for school before studying at Lalbhai Dalpatbhai College of Engineering. He is Indian by nationality and is a Sagittarius by zodiac sign.

Career
Pandit entered the media and film industry around the year 2000 and has worked as a producer, distributor and financier of films. He owns Sri Anand Pandit Ji Motion Pictures (also referred to as Anand Pandit Motion Pictures) and has produced and backed a slate of Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and South Indian films. In March 2022 Pandit announced the historical film Bal Shivaji directed by Ravi Jadhav. He also produced Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, starring Randeep Hooda, which released on 26 May 2023. On 17 March 2023 he expanded into the South Indian market with the Kannada film Kabzaa, released in multiple languages including a Hindi version titled Underworld Ka Kabzaa; he stated that his company was focusing on regional content and described the project as a large-scale production with a budget in the range of Rs 90 to 100 crore.
