Ananya Birla was born Ananyashree Birla on 17 July 1994 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Raised in the city she calls home, she attended the American School of Bombay before completing A levels through home-schooling. She later studied at the University of Oxford in England. Ananya is the eldest child of Kumar Mangalam Birla and Neerja Birla and has two younger siblings, a brother and a sister.
