Angad Singh Bedi was born on 6 February 1983 in Delhi, India. Raised in a family with a strong sporting legacy, he is the son of former Indian cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi and his mother Anju Inderjit Bedi. His upbringing included schooling at institutions such as Bishop Cotton School in Shimla and St. Columba's and Gyan Bharati Public School in Delhi. He later graduated from St. Stephen's College, Delhi. Angad follows Sikhism and is known to be left-handed, a trait he shares with his father.

Career

Angad Bedi moved away from competitive cricket during his teens to pursue a career in modelling and acting. Fashion designer JJ Valaya played a part in his early modelling break. Filmmaker Sashi Kumar cast him in the lead role for the film Kaya Taran (2004), which marked his acting debut on the big screen.

He has worked across films, television and digital platforms. On television he appeared as a sports anchor on Extraaa Innings IPLT20 in 2010 and later acted in the TV adaptation 24 in 2016. In 2010 he also participated in the cooking show Cook Na Kaho and took part in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 3, finishing among the top ten contestants. That year he hosted the first season of Emotional Atyachar on UTV Bindass.

In Bollywood, Angad made a notable appearance as Niranjan "Nanj" Nair in F.A.L.T.U. (2011). A performance that raised his profile came with the role of Rajveer Singh in Shoojit Sircar's Pink (2016), where he starred alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. On digital platforms he portrayed Arvind Vashishth in the Indian-American web series Inside Edge (2017), a show centred on a fictional T20 cricket team.
