Early life and background

Anita Sheoran was born on 24 November 1984 in Dhani Mahu village in Bhiwani district, Haryana. Raised in a family where her father, Dilip Singh Sheoran, worked as a truck driver and farmer and her mother is Santosh Devi, she grew up in a region known for producing accomplished wrestlers. Her hometown is Bhiwani and she is Indian by nationality. She is a Sagittarius by zodiac sign.

Sheoran competes in freestyle wrestling and has been coached by Zile Singh. Her listed height is approximately 161 cm (5'3") and her competition weight has varied by category, with entries in 62–67 kg classes at different points in her career.

Her medal record spans national and international competitions.
