Anitha Sampath was born on 12 June 1992 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Raised in a middle-class family, she completed her schooling at Velankanni Matric Higher Secondary School in Chennai and went on to study Electronics and Communication Engineering at Anna University. From a young age she enjoyed performing arts, taking part in singing and dance competitions while at school.

Anitha’s professional on-screen career began in television. She worked as a news anchor for Tamil channels including Sun TV and News7 Tamil, starting around 2016.
