Ankit Baiyanpuria Biography
Ankit Baiyanpuria is an Indian fitness and social media influencer from Bayanpur, Sonipat, Haryana. He rose to prominence by promoting traditional Indian-
Early life and backgroundAnkit Baiyanpuria, whose real name is Ankit Singh, was born on 31 August in Bayanpur, Sonipat, Haryana. He grew up in a working-class family: his father worked as a labourer and his mother is a homemaker. He has two sisters who are married. Ankit attended local government schools in Bayanpur and Model Town, Sonipat, completing his 11th and 12th in arts before earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak.
Ankit’s early exposure to traditional wrestling influenced his path. His father often took him to dangals (wrestling bouts), and in 2008 a local wrestler’s success inspired him to start training in an akhara while he was in ninth grade. He adopted the village-linked name Baiyanpuria in keeping with wrestling tradition, an identity tied to the pehalwan community rather than to caste or religion.
Career
After finishing formal education, Ankit moved into digital content creation. He began by posting Haryanvi prank and comedy videos on short-video platforms and on a YouTube channel called Haryanvi Khagad. Following the COVID-19 lockdown he shifted his focus to fitness, rebranding his channel as Ankit Baiyanpuria and showcasing traditional Indian training methods and diets.
His fitness style emphasizes strength, endurance and stamina rather than conventional bodybuilding. Ankit’s workouts draw from Hindu wrestling traditions and include sapate (wrestling-style burpees), rope climbing, tyre and log lifting, and running. He trains under a village coach, Krishan Pahalwan, and often practices in akharas and outdoor locations. His program frequently incorporates explosive movements, and he typically runs about 5 km a day.
Ankit’s social media reach expanded quickly. In June 2023 he received YouTube’s Silver Play Button for surpassing 100,000 subscribers. By August 2023 his Instagram account had amassed millions of followers. He has posted public workout demonstrations in places such as Rishikesh and Sukhna Lake, and he appears regularly in videos promoting strength feats—reported personal lifts include a 240 kg deadlift, a 220 kg squat and a 200 kg bench press.
Injuries and recovery
Wrestling and competitive fighting brought several serious injuries. A 2018 slip disc required months of bed rest, and later university-level competition resulted in a knee injury. In April 2022 he sustained rotator cuff damage in his shoulder and was advised three months of rest. During that recovery period his weight reportedly rose, and he discovered the 75 Hard Challenge, which he took up on 28 June 2023 as a mental and physical discipline exercise. Ankit said the challenge helped rebuild mental toughness and that giving up sugar was among the hardest parts.
Public profile
Ankit identifies as Hindu and often references scriptures such as the Bhagavad Gita and Shiv Puran in his videos, saying they give him peace and are a part of his public messaging. He is a devotee of Lord Shiva and has made pilgrimages to Rishikesh tied to subscriber milestones. He follows a traditional vegetarian diet that places strong emphasis on milk, ghee, almonds and dry fruits; he reports daily practices such as soaking and eating specific dry fruits, consuming curd and milk, and drinking a post-workout almond-based drink known as badam ragda.
He also shares lifestyle details with his audience: he wakes at 5 a.m. regardless of sleep time, uses ice baths and village streams for recovery, practices elements of brahmacharya while undertaking the 75 Hard Challenge, and incorporates boxing training as a hobby. Ankit has worked various labour jobs in the past—including factory work, delivery for a food platform, and employment at a supplement store—before becoming a full-time content creator and trainer. He offers personal training to clients and has been signed as an official athlete by a nutrition café in Gurugram. He has promoted supplements from brands such as MuscleBlaze.
Personal interests
Ankit enjoys adventure activities such as rafting, has a fondness for animals and keeps a cat and a dog, and has publicly displayed an interest in firearms. He is nicknamed “Man with No Haters” by some followers and cites his father as a personal idol and an example of hard work.
