Ankit Panth was born on 26 July 1989 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He grew up in the same town and developed an early interest in computer gaming. As a teenager he began frequenting gaming cafes and taught himself to play Counter-Strike 1.6, a game that would become the foundation of his competitive career.

Panth’s early years in gaming were shaped by modest resources. He started on basic equipment—a system with an Intel dual-core processor, 80GB hard drive and 512MB of RAM—and spent time honing his skills at local cafes. Mentorship came informally: a top player at his cafe, known then as KingdeviL, helped him improve, and later fellow player Aakash ‘RiX’ More became an important influence as Panth moved into organized competition.

Ankit Panth rose through India’s Counter-Strike scene as both a player and a team leader. In 2008 he and Aakash “RiX” More co-founded a player-owned team called Brutality, which produced his first significant tournament victory.
