Jai Anmol Ambani was born on 12 December 1991 in Mumbai and raised in a prominent business family. He attended Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai before studying at Sevenoaks School in the United Kingdom. He later completed a BSc in management at Warwick Business School. Growing up in the Ambani household, he developed interests such as travelling, listening to music and playing football. He is of Gujarati heritage and holds Indian nationality.

Career

Anmol began his practical exposure to finance with a summer internship at Reliance Mutual Fund when he was 18, where he worked on company and sector analysis, financial statements and portfolio creation. After travelling internationally for a period, he joined Reliance Mutual Fund in 2014 and continued building experience within the Reliance group.

After two years of further training at Reliance Capital, Anmol was appointed an additional director on the Reliance Capital board on 23 August 2016. His appointment drew attention from institutional investors and wider markets. He was later elevated to Executive Director of Reliance Capital at the company’s 2017 annual general meeting.
