Early life and background
Ansi Kabeer was born on 11 October 1996 in Alamcode, a locality in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Raised by her parents Kabeer and Raseena, she pursued her schooling and later enrolled at The Marian Engineering College in Kazhakoottam, Trivandrum, where she completed a BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering between 2014 and 2018.

During her student years she emerged academically among the top performers and took part in college cultural events. Her height and stage presence led seniors to select her as a show-stopper in an inter-collegiate fashion event, an early experience that encouraged her interest in modelling.

Career
Ansi began participating in modelling and pageant contests while still in college. Her early pageant appearances included Miss Malabar and the Lulu Beauty Fest in 2018, where she finished as first runner-up in both competitions. She also took part in other contests during this period, including auditions for the Face of Kerala contest.

Soon after graduation she joined Infosys in Trivandrum as an IT engineer. While working there she entered and won the Miss Kerala pageant in 2019, a victory she managed while balancing job responsibilities. Continuing her pageant career, Ansi competed in Miss South India and won the title in 2021, further establishing her reputation across the southern states. Ansi Kabeer died on 1 November 2021 at the age of 25. She was involved in a car accident on a stretch of National Highway between Vytilla and Palarivattom near the Holiday Inn hotel in Kerala. The collision also claimed the life of Anjana, the Miss Kerala 2019 runner-up, while two other passengers—identified as Abdul Rahman and Muhammad Asif—survived and were admitted to Ernakulam Medical Centre. Local authorities reported that CCTV footage indicated the car had been travelling at high speed and lost control after suddenly encountering a scooter.

The aftermath of the accident affected Ansi’s family deeply. Her mother, Raseena, was reported to have attempted to take her own life upon receiving the news and was subsequently taken to hospital by neighbours and police.

Ansi Kabeer is remembered for her rapid rise within regional pageantry, her professional balance as an engineer and model, and for using her platform to encourage and inspire other young women.
