Early life and background
Anson Paul was born on 15 July 1988 in Thrissur, Kerala. Raised in a household that included both his biological mother, Annie, and a foster parent named Morgan, he grew up alongside an elder sister, Pinky. His early years included time in Kodambakkam and Sali village before moving to Thiruvanmiyur in Chennai. From childhood he loved films and decided early on to pursue a career in acting, though his parents initially encouraged him to study engineering. He holds a BTech degree.

At a young age he worked on film sets to learn the craft, taking on assistant-directing responsibilities and even holding the clapboard. He later trained formally at the Anupam Kher Acting School in Mumbai and performed with the theatre group Aadishakti, building the stage experience that would inform his screen work.

Personal challenges in his youth included a serious health scare in 2011, when he was diagnosed with a brain tumour and underwent surgery. He recovered from the operation and kept the resulting stitches without removing the scars. That period helped cement his commitment to acting.

Career
Anson Paul began his professional life as a model, appearing in fashion shows and print campaigns before moving into films. He made his Malayalam film debut in 2013 in KQ, playing the character Roshen. He expanded into Tamil cinema with a role in Remo (2016) as Dr. Vishwa.

Over the following years Paul took on roles across Malayalam and Tamil projects. His Malayalam credits include Solo (2017), Kala Viplavam Pranayam (2018), The Gambler (2019), A Ranjith Cinema (2023), and Marco (2024). In Tamil cinema he appeared in Solo (2017), 90ML (2019), Thambi (2019), and Mazaiyil Nanaigiren (2024).

His height has at times influenced casting: standing around six feet tall, he was chosen to pair opposite Parvathy Omanakuttan in a project where matching height was a casting consideration. Beyond film roles, Paul has appeared on magazine covers and continued to model intermittently even after establishing himself on screen.

Public profile
Paul maintains a visible presence on social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook. He is known to enjoy horse riding, travel, and fitness routines at the gym. An avid animal lover, he keeps a pet dog named Rudy.

Paul has named actors such as Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mammootty among those he admires, and he has cited Mamta Mohandas as someone who helped him find early opportunities on film sets. He is described as spiritual and visits religious sites regularly.

He has been open about lifestyle choices in public appearances, where he has been seen smoking and consuming alcohol. His personal interests also include motorcycles, with a Royal Enfield Bullet among the two-wheeler collection referenced in his public profile.

Latest updates
As of the most recent entries in his filmography, Anson Paul appeared in the Malayalam film Marco (2024) and the Tamil film Mazaiyil Nanaigiren (2024). He continues to take roles in both language industries and remains active on social media.

He remains unmarried and is based from his hometown of Thrissur when not working on shoots or traveling for leisure.
