Anupama Anandkumar Gowda was born on 20 March 1991 in Bangalore, Karnataka. Raised in the same city, she trained academically in fashion design, completing studies at Sri Jagadguru Renukacharya College of Science Arts and Commerce and the Indian Institute of Fashion Technology. Her father is Anandkumar Gowda, and she has a sister, Tejaswini Anandkumar, who is also an actress.
