Anushka Shetty was born Sweety Shetty on 7 November 1981 in Puttur, Karnataka. She belongs to the Tuluva Bunt community and spent part of her upbringing in Bengaluru. She completed a Bachelor of Computer Applications at Mount Carmel College in Bengaluru.
