Early life and backgroundAoora was born Park Geun-e on January 10, 1986, in South Korea. He is identified by the stage name Aoora and has also been referenced as Park Min-jun. Aoora emerged as a performing artist in the late 2000s. His earliest credited recording debut came in 2009 with the song "Love Back." He went on to debut as part of the boy group Double-A in 2011, where he performed alongside members Woosang, Hoik, Jinhong, and Kimchi. Within Double-A, he took on creative roles as well as performing: he is credited with composing, arranging and producing material for the group, including all six tracks on their 2013 mini album Come Back.
As a solo artist and collaborator, Aoora released tracks across the 2010s. Notable releases tied to different phases of his career include the Double-A single "So Crazy" (2011), his solo single "Body Party" (2014), and work with the subunit AOORA&HOIK, which released "Morning, Afternoon, Evening" in 2015. Aoora and Hoik also issued a cover of Omi’s "Cheerleader" in August 2015, and the pair featured on the third season of the South Korean show F@LLOW ME later that year.
In 2017 Aoora became part of the EDM duo Trophy Cat with DJ Fridayyy (Hyung Sun-ahn). He has produced remixes that blend Korean lyrics with Hindi songs, a style that has helped him build an audience in India. His remix of the Bollywood track "Swag Se Swagat" gained significant online attention in September 2022, surpassing one million views across social platforms. He has also released dance covers of Hindi songs, including a rendition of "Cham Cham."
Aoora has continued releasing music into the 2020s. On November 28, 2023, he released a solo single titled "In Da Bus," a collaboration that features Maaz Moeed.
