Early life and backgroundArjun Mathur was born on 18 October 1981 in London, England, and spent his childhood between New Delhi and Mumbai. He attended St. Columba’s School in New Delhi, St. Mary’s School in Mumbai and The British School in New Delhi before moving to the United Kingdom for further education at Oaklands College in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Mathur trained in acting at the Barry John Acting Studio in New Delhi and at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York.
Career
Mathur began his film career in 2004 with a role in the Bollywood feature Kyun! Ho Gaya Na... He also gained early behind-the-scenes experience working as an assistant director on several high-profile projects, including Kyun! Ho Gaya Na... (2004), Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Mangal Pandey: The Rising (2005) and Rang De Basanti (2006).
