Early life and background
Arjuna Harjai was born on 28 February 1989 in New Delhi. He grew up in a musically engaged household and began formal music exposure very young, studying classical traditions from his parents. As a child he studied piano and tabla, and by age eight he was enrolled at the Delhi School of Music. His early training continued through his school years; he attended Laxman Public School in Delhi before moving to Mumbai in 2006 to pursue further musical training under playback singer Suresh Wadkar. He later completed a diploma in audio engineering and undertook advanced studies in orchestration and composition for film and television, along with training in Western classical and Indian classical music production.

Career
Arjuna Harjai launched his professional career in commercial music, making a name for himself composing advertising jingles for major brands. He has both composed and sung jingles for a wide range of clients including Cadbury Bournville, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Lenovo, Big Bazaar, Samsung, Maruti, Sprite and several others. Advertising remained an important part of his early output and provided a platform from which he moved into films and television.

His first credited song appearances include early work around 2011–2012. He began composing for films in 2014 with the title track for the Punjabi film Titoo MBA.
