Arnold E. Dix was born on 8 March 1964 in Melbourne, Victoria, and grew up in Monbulk. He studied geotechnical and geoenvironmental science and law at Monash University during the 1980s. Career
Dix’s career is multidisciplinary. He has worked as a geologist and engineer while also practising law; he has been a corporate lawyer and a barrister in Australia since 1989. He founded and has been involved in Arnold Dix – Consulting Firm since 1999, undertaking work that blends scientific, technical and legal perspectives on underground construction and risk.
