Arshad Nadeem was born on 2 January 1997 in Khanewal, Pakistan, and raised in the nearby town of Mian Channu. He is the third of five brothers in a family where his father, Muhammad Ashraf, worked as a mason. From childhood he was exposed to outdoor sports common in his area and took part in multiple disciplines — cricket, badminton, football and athletics — before settling on track and field.

Arshad attended Govt High School 102/15-l in Mian Channu. His sporting journey took a decisive turn in seventh grade when coach Rasheed Ahmad Saqi noticed him at a school athletics competition and took him under his wing.
