Early life and background

Arslan Goni was born on 19 December in Bhaderwah, Jammu & Kashmir. He grew up spending part of his childhood in boarding school from the age of seven and later moved to Mumbai to complete a law degree. His parents are Amjad Goni and Rabia Goni, and he has a brother, Aly Goni, along with two sisters, Ilham and Saltanat.

Goni developed an interest in performing from an early age, taking part in school plays and competitions. While studying law in Mumbai he shifted his focus toward the entertainment industry, training in acting under Anupam Kher and taking part in theatre productions before moving into screen work.

Career

Before breaking into films, Arslan Goni worked as a model for several Indian designers and walked the ramp on the fashion circuit. He also gained experience behind the camera, working as an assistant director on a film and appearing in a short film titled Mystery Man in 2016.

Goni made his Bollywood debut as a lead actor in the 2017 film Jia Aur Jia, which featured Richa Chadda and Kalki Koechlin. He has also worked in web series, appearing in the 2021 series Mai Hero Boll Raha Hun, which streamed on ZEE5 and AltBalaji and was produced by Ekta Kapoor.
