Early life and background

Arundhati Bhagya Reddy was born on 10 April 1997 in Hyderabad, Telangana. Raised in a cricket-loving household, she grew up playing street cricket with family and neighborhood children. Her mother, Bhagya Reddy, a former college volleyball player who later worked as a schoolteacher, played an active role in supporting Arundhati’s training, often accompanying her to sessions and helping with travel when she reached driving age.

Arundhati attended Kendriya Vidyalaya Picket in Secunderabad. From a young age she admired batsmen such as Rahul Dravid and bowlers like Dale Steyn, and she also cited tennis star Serena Williams among the athletes she respected.
